About
Built in 1902, the Floyd was owned by the Odd Fellows where they held meetings upstairs and the main floor was a community hall used for concerts, dances, meetings, funerals, graduations and much more. In 1939 the building was purchased by Ed and Marie Byrant who converted it into a storage warehouse for for their hardware store. When the Stanwood Historical Society bought the Floyd in 2003 it was in terrible shape. The Stanwood historical society, with many donors, restored The Floyd Norgaard to it's original glory plus adding a few necessary modern touches like bathrooms, a kitchen, and an elevator. Today, The Floyd can be rented and has hosted many events including weddings, concerts, auctions, banquets, birthdays just to name a few! If you would like to have your next event at the Floyd please contact us!
